The Summer Reading Club is a fun way to keep reading all Summer long! SRC is open to Residents of West Bloomfield Township, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake or Sylvan Lake who have a library card in good standing as well as non-residents of West Bloomfield Township, and their siblings and parents, who are enrolled in the West Bloomfield School District and have a library card in good standing from their home community.
Research shows that children who read five or more books during summer vacation gained more in reading achievement than classmates who took a break from books. The Library’s Summer Reading Club makes it easy to fit at least five books, magazines, audiobooks, graphic novels or other reading experiences into your summer plans.
Summer Reading Club runs June 13, 2009 to September 4, 2009. Register for the Summer Reading Club at the Main Library or Westacres Branch beginning Saturday, June 13, 2009. You may join anytime throughout the summer. Register through the Online Library or at a Library Information Desk.
